Fall Marathon Program
For the year's fall marathon training we will be using a program designed by Dr. Jack Daniels. This program is published in his book The Running Formula available from Amazon.com. I highly recommend purchasing Daniel's book. I selected his program for several reasons, (1) It's a 24-week program which fits nicely into our timeframe: (2) It a progressive program divided into 4 distinct phases with each phase building on the previous phase; (3) It contains workouts specifically designed for marathon training. I have made a few adjustments to the program, however, for the most part it is the same one as is outlined in the book.
